The Digital Curation Center, still in early days, looks as if it will be a valuable repository of materials. See for example the instalments planned (one has been completed!) for the Curation Manual. There is an overview of the DCC approach to digital curation, which is defined thus:
Digital curation, broadly interpreted, is about maintaining and adding value to, a trusted body of digital information for current and future use. [DCC approach to digital curation]
There are plans for an International Journal of Digital Curation. And there are some papers on aspects of curation. There is a selection of tools, limited to non-commercial approaches.
Working with other practitioners, the Digital Curation Centre will support UK institutions who store, manage and preserve these data to help ensure their enhancement and their continuing long-term use. The purpose of our centre is to provide a national focus for research and development into curation issues and to promote expertise and good practice, both national and international, for the management of all research outputs in digital format.
