Robert Kahn, widely recognized as a “father of the internet” for his role in developing DARPA’s Internet Program and as co-inventor of the TCP/IP protocol, received the Digital ID World 2003 award from Esther Dyson for his work and participation in the development of the Digital Object Architecture (www.handle.net).
