From the blog of Harvard economist, Dani Rodrik:

> An [article](https://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/27/magazine/27wwln-idealab-t.html?ref=magazine) in Sunday’s NYT magazine prompted me to look at [Bryan Caplan](https://economics.gmu.edu/bcaplan/?ref=lorcandempsey.net)‘s book [The Myth of the Rational Voter](https://www.amazon.com/dp/0691129428?tag=bryacaplwebp-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0691129428&adid=15GADVSDGSTT9WGRE8F5&&ref=lorcandempsey.net). I haven’t read the whole book, just the bits that are [online](https://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/bcaplan/contest.doc?ref=lorcandempsey.net). It is a thought-provoking piece, and a god read. But I am not convinced. \[[Sage – Dani Rodrik’s weblog](file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/HP%5FAdministrator/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/u5q999jw.default/chrome/sage.html)\]

A small example of how online visibility and convenience are increasingly important. I was struck by how natural it sounded to turn to what is online first.
