# Managing citations and references

My 11 year old daughter was doing a project recently for which she had to do a bibliography. I was interested to see that she used [https://easybib.com](https://easybib.com/?ref=lorcandempsey.net) to compile it: this was on the recommendation of one of her classmates. It took some of the pain out of it, and seemed to make it more interesting: something was actually being *made* by the program from the data she supplied.  
I notice that easybib is one of the tools listed in response to a [query](https://www.lifehacker.com/software/ask-the-readers/ask-the-readers-tools-for-building-bibliographies-212969.php?ref=lorcandempsey.net) on Lifehacker about generating bibliographies. Given the number of tools listed here – including endnote and refworks – this is an area of some demand.
