[Phil Barker](https://blogs.cetis.ac.uk/philb/?ref=lorcandempsey.net) looks at FRBR in the context of learning object metadata.

> The proposed object model borrows from the [scholarly works application profile](https://www.ukoln.ac.uk/repositories/digirep/index/Eprints%5FApplication%5FProfile?ref=lorcandempsey.net) (SWAP) [application model](https://www.ukoln.ac.uk/repositories/digirep/index/Model?ref=lorcandempsey.net), which in turn is based on the [Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records](https://www.ifla.org/VII/s13/frbr/frbr.pdf?ref=lorcandempsey.net) (FRBR) entity model.
